Service History

Originally a training squadron with the Advance Air Striking Force (AASF) in France and then later with Coastal Command in Iceland until being disbanded. Reformed as a daylight bomber squadron in No. 2 Group on 12 September 1942 and remained in the role until No. 2 Group was transferred from Bomber Commands control in May 1943
