Service History

Flew operationally with the Advanced Air Striking Force (AASF) in France in May 1942, returning to England when the squadron flew Blenheim’s until June of that year. Transferred to Coast Command control in Late June 1940 and remained there until October 1940. Returned to Bomber Command in November 1940 and attached to No. 3 Group, flying Wellington’s. Transferred to No. 5 Group’s control  in September 1942 and remained with the group until the end of the war flying Lancaster’s
