Service History

A bomber training unit at the outbreak of war the squadron was later absorbed into an Operational Training Unit (OTU). Reformed as a bomber squadron on 5 November 1940 and attached to No. 4 Group. Transferred to No. 8 (Pathfinder) Group on August 1942 and remained as a Pathfinder Squadron until the end of hostilities
