A Whitley training squadron in No. 4 Group at the outbreak of the war, the squadron lost its identity in April 1940 when it was absorbed into an Operational Training Unit (OTU). Reformed in No. 1 Group on 17 January 1943 and flew its first operation the same night. The squadron remained operational for the duration of the war | |||||||
