After serving with the Advanced Air Striking Force (AASF) in France until June 1940, the quadroon was posted to No. 1 Group. It remained with the Group until December 1942, when the squadron was posted to the Middle East and operated continuously until September 1944. At which time the squadron, who by this time was in Algeria, was disbanded. Reformed once more within No. 1 Group on 1 November 1944 and remained with the Group as a bomber squadron until the end of the war | |||||||
