3 (Rep)C

Repairable on site by a contractor’s working party.

 

3 (Rep)S

Repairable on site by a suitably qualified Service unit.

 

3 (Rep)C Fly

After any temporary repair, can be flown with flight limitations, to the contractor’s works.

 

3 (Rep)C Fly Deferred

Can continue to be flown, with flight limitations, by the operating unit until a repair date is agreed with the contractor.

 

3 (Rep) S Fly Deferred

Can continue to be flown, with flight limitations, by the operating unit until a repair date is agreed with a suitable Service unit.

4 (Rep)

Repair in works.  Transfer to a contractor’s works by road

4 (Fly)

Repair in works.  Fly to a contractor’s works , with flight limitations, after any necessary but temporary repairs.

4 (Rogue)

After air tests and technical investigations, the operating unit is satisfied that the aircraft has unsatisfactory flying characteristics.

Beyond repair or surplus, written off.

5(c)

Beyond repair or surplus, written off after component recovery.

5(s)

Beyond repair or surplus, written off as scrap.

5(gi)

Converted to Ground Instructional Airframe for training school use.
